Silly Sunday - Hiding in my pink cave yo

We feel dat, even though we fink those little bunny critters are quite adorable, we shouldn't be neglected like dat! We want our cute posts too! We used to have 'em, but then bunnies stole our limelight! So I needs to remind you of how cute we are! Look at these photos below and don't tells me your heart isn't melting! I loves to lay on top of cuddly blankets too, but creating your own pink cave, is definitely the most awesomest! But then mummy decides to bother me wif the camera uhgain! Troublesome!

The babies!

They are doing great! Bella, however, isn't the best mother. Well, you can't blame her, since she's a first time mom, but so am I haha So to make sure that everyone is well-fed I have to take Bella out of the cage, together with the babes and put them all on my lap. Then I let the babies drink until they're satisfied. At first two of the babies were really tiny; Tiny (one of the dark bunnies) and Silver, a tiny bunny with a broad (still) silver striping on the back. I'm sure this colour will change soon! After a few days Tiny has grown significantly, but Silver is still a little bit smaller. I bought some extra milk in case the babies needed some extra help.
Below you will see some photos taken on day 5

Oops!

I never thought something like this would happen to me; but never underestimate the nature of male bunnies haha Benjamin forced his way out of his play pen to get to Bella, and you can imagine what happened next. I wasn't to happy at first, but then the baby fever got to me!
Last Sunday Bella gave birth to six babies! Not until a few days before Bella went into labour, could I tell that she was pregnant. I could tell that her nipples were a bit swollen. That particular Sunday morning I wasn't even at home, but getting my new rattie cage that I bought on the internet. When I returned I could see that she plucked out all of her fur, and I thought to myself that she was already getting herself prepared. But then, to my horror, I recognised the outlines of baby bunnies! Then another shock came as I didn't see any movements. I didn't want to touch the babies so I just stood there watching until they moved...and fortunately they did!   Unfortunately one baby died after just two or three days

Below are some photos of the second day

This is the litter on the second day!

Time flies - how tiny kittens get elegant and beautiful lady cats

Today is the day! Probably the happiest day of 2012. My once so tiny and fragile Siamese girls turned four today. It's almost scary how time flies, but I have cherished every single moment with them I remember the day, as if it was yesterday, when I stepped on that train to visit my girls who were living in Amsterdam at that time. I fell in love instantly and that love never dwindled. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment to give a tour through the history of my girls, but I hope that I will be able to find some extra spare time left any time soon.

The weirdness that is called male fancy rats

Fancy rats. People love and own them for all kinds of reasons! But you probably never thought you would love them for their silliness. They have humour, I swear!
So, mummy needs to clean the cage and my well-behaved lazy rattie men are allowed to roam my bed. Sounds decent right? No, what do my rattie men want? To stack together, utterly uncomfortable, on top of their cage...

especially pay attention to all the dangling manly bits
